ALLCAPITAL has released his new extended play, CAPS. It marks a return to the boom bap stylings with which he started his career. ALLCAPITAL has described it as a “a tribute to [his] younger self, a tribute to [Capital] STEEZ” and “representing Blackwood and its community/making art together.” The sole guest feature is provided by fellow Blackwood native Bubsy.B for their third collaboration together. Production is by NOWHEREFOUND! and Stellar Mental’s Hoonstoff (formerly Kise).

ALLCAPITAL has been previewing tracks from CAPS for the last few weeks and I had remarked in my post on the release of “4MMC” that it was sounding promising. ALLCAPITAL has enough artistic depth to experiment with his output but his approach to boom bap-type music is so pure that it excels. Sure enough, CAPS is superb. Much of the EP is high energy and adorned with ALLCAPITAL’s assuredness. “HAUNTED!” bounces along over a ridiculous beat with his confident but self-deprecating lyrics. “valium” is a rare slower moment and sees ALLCAPITAL reflecting on what he has had to overcome in his life while he ponders on past hopelessness.

ALLCAPITAL has had a relatively quiet year. 2025 was almost about to be the first year that he has not released a full-length project since his debut TWEAKIN’ in 2022. Fortunately, he finishes on a high by squeezing in his fourth release and continues to build a super strong discography.
