Akech Aliir re-signs with S.E. Melbourne Phoenix
Position: Forward
2025–26 statistics: 4.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, .7 blocks, .5 steals, 38.9% field goal, 76.9% free throw

After one season with the S.E. Melbourne Phoenix, Akech Aliir is brought back for two more with a contract extension. He proved to be effective in his back-up forward role this past season with impressive numbers across the board in his limited minutes. Aliir will be in consideration for an increased role again this season.
Carlin Davison re-signs with New Zealand Breakers
Position: Forward
2025–26 statistics: 5.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, .3 blocks, .5 steals, 51.1% field goal, 50.0% free throw

Carlin Davison showed that he belonged in the league this last season with the New Zealand Breakers after two seasons as a development player. He capitalised with the first permanent reserve role of his career with a well-rounded output. The Breakers re-sign him for one season; I thought that he would have been worth a longer investment. Their press release heralds them “secur[ing] the future of Kiwi star” with the re-signing; maybe they believe there is a short future ahead for Davison.
Will Magnay re-signs with Tasmania JackJumpers
Position: Center
2025–26 statistics: 10.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.8 blocks, .9 steals, 53.4% field goal, 55.4% free throw

The Tasmania JackJumpers stay loyal and true to their team captain and re-sign Will Magnay to a two-year contract extension. Magnay is one of the premier local big men and defensive presences in the league when he plays – big emphasis on when he plays. Unfortunately for all, Magnay’s JackJumpers tenure has been consistently derailed by injury; he has appeared in a little over half of the JackJumpers’ games during his five seasons and has been injured each season. His absence leaves a major hole in the JackJumpers’ chances of success so it serves the team to be prepared and sign a true back-up big man to provide some protection.
Harry Rouhliadeff to Brisbane Bullets
Position: Forward
From: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (United States – NCAA Division I)
2025–26 statistics: 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, .5 blocks, .5 steals, 52.7% field goal, 80.8% free throw

The Brisbane Bullets and new head coach Will Weaver make their first addition to the team by returning local product Harry Rouhliadeff on a multi-year deal. He spent the last four seasons playing collegiately at Hawaii where he saw his role gradually increase into posting career-highs as a permanent starter during his senior year. Rouhliadeff shows great shooting touch as a 6’9″ forward and looks like a sound starting addition to the Bullets as a future mainstay in the league.
